A lot of effort needed says Webber

With his drive at Red Bull Racing assured, despite recent rumours about Fernando Alonso joining the team, Australian racer Mark Webber is looking ahead to the upcoming 2008 Formula One championship season, however he admitted that the Milton Keynes based squad will need to work hard to fix some of the issues experienced in 07.

"We need to put in a huge amount of effort to address the problems we had during the year," he told the Canberra Times. "Then we've got to try and bridge the gap between the two top teams Ferrari and McLaren and they're not going to be easy to catch."

In 07, Red Bull suffered with a lot of reliability issues, however Mark proved they have what it takes to be up there with the front runners when he was racing in a superb second place in the Japanese Grand Prix. However, he was forced to retire when hit by third placed Sebastien Vettel in the sister car, STR, ironically, the one time reliability was proving not to be an issue.
