As well as sending equipment to the Bahrain International circuit for the first race, without having an official entry, the Stefan Grand Prix team is also planning their first official test with a trip to the Portimao test track in Portugal between the 25th and 28th of February 2010.

They also revealed that the test will see two drivers in action over the course of three days with the identity of these drivers to be announced in due course. However, they did reveal that one of the drivers has been in Formula One for two years. That rules out Ralf Schumacher, who has been tipped to take one of the seats at a team without an entry, unless he is to become their number two driver....

Meanwhile, the team’s new car the Stefan S-01 has been developed by the Russian outfit together with technical support from TMG. The engine will be known as the ‘Stefan RG-01’, serviced by TMG.
