Lotus is not a new name in the world of Formula One with Tony Fernandes resurrecting the team that won a total of 79 races and seven constructors championships and there may be yet another piece of the former puzzle dropping into place with the possible return of the man to last win a crown for the team back in 1978, Mario Andretti.

Speaking at last weekend’s season opening Bahrain Grand Prix, Andretti told reporters that he has been asked to get involved with the Malaysian based squad but he is refusing to give anything away just yet....

"I have been asked to be part of that and there might become a little bit more of an involvement on my part, because they (the team) seem to be very proud of the brand that obviously they are there representing. We'll see. Stay tuned."

Andretti is now seventy years of age and admitted that he is very impressed with the long term commitment and the phenomenal job done by technical director, Mike Gascoyne.
