While their rivals continued to test in warm conditions in the Middle East today, Williams and Spyker continued their scheduled programs at the Barcelona circuit in Spain today where Nico Rosberg topped the timesheets for the second consecutive day.
With temperatures hitting just twenty degrees, the young German driver recorded a total of 102 laps to finish a mere fraction of a second faster than his Austrian teammate, Alex Wurz, who completed a race distance in the new Toyota powered challenger.
"Nico and Alex continued here in Barcelona today,” said Dickie Stanford, test team manager. “The pair swapped roles, with Nico carrying out mapping and set-up tests, while Alex spent the day doing long runs and completed a race distance. Kazuki will join Alex tomorrow for our last day of preparation work prior to the first race in Australia."
Meanwhile, Spyker had their two regular racers on duty with Christijan Albers finishing a fraction of a second ahead of his rookie teammate, despite the fact that his car developed a hydraulic leak.
