After finishing a very pleasing thirteenth and fourteenth in the German Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon, the Midland F1 team had both cars disqualified when they failed to pass post race scrutineering.
While Tiago Monteiro had a very difficult race, one that even included a drive through penalty for ignoring blue flags, teammate Christijan Albers had one of the best runs of the season, coming from the back of the grid to finish thirteenth.
However, stewards discovered that both of the Silverstone based squad contenders were running illegal flexi rear wings and they were subsequently disqualified from the results. |
