Brawn happy with successors

It was announced recently that Ferrari’s Ross Brawn was leaving the team, less than a week after the Maranello based squad said their tearful goodbyes to seven time world champion Michael Schumacher after the season finale in Brazil. Brawn has been an integral part of the ‘dream team’ at Ferrari however, he is confident that those who will be fulfilling his role in the future will do just aw good a job as he did, if not better.

"I wish to thank Ferrari for allowing me to be part of a wonderful period in the history of the team,” he said. “Everyone knows that Ferrari is a legend but more important are the people who work here. They have demonstrated extraordinary professionalism, loyalty, motivation and passion for their tasks. They are all exceptional human beings.”

“For some time now, we have prepared for this handover and I am pleased to be able to pass on my responsibilities to people whom I am convinced can do an even better job than me. I have great faith in all of them and I am sure they will bring many more successes home to Maranello."

It is still unclear exactly what Brawn’s future place are with Ferrari stating that he is planning on spending some quality time with his family after such a long and exhausting career with the team, however, speculation sees the highly sought after technical guru with another team in the very near future, our sources indicating that it will be one with a Japanese background.
