Brawn hoping for future Ferrari return

Ross Brawn has confirmed that he will not be joining another Formula one team after announcing his departure from Ferrari recently, the Scuderia’s most successful technical director admitting that he is planning on taking a break to recharge his batteries after almost thirty years of hard work in the pinnacle of Motorsports and allowing the young guns to come through and shine in his place.

"I've been in F1 for almost 30 years now and the team that has touched my heart and become a part of me and I've become a part of them, is Ferrari. I just feel I need to have a little break to recharge my batteries and also to give some other guys, some of the guys with great prospects, an opportunity to show what they can do when they are given the full responsibility,” he said.

However, the plan is for Brawn to return to the team at a later date, and discussions are planned top work toward this end with President, Luca di Montezemolo and newly appointed CEO Jean Todt have agreeing to leave the door open for his return…

"My wish is that next year, in the middle of the year, we'll have a meeting to discuss how I feel about my sabbatical, and how they feel about how the team is running, and if it is possible for me to play a part in it in the future."
