British GP: FP3 – Red Bull domination continues
Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber continued Red Bull Racing’s domination here at the Silverstone circuit this morning by setting the two fastest times in the final hour long free practice session. Finishing third behind Webber was Fernando Alonso with Felipe Massa fourth, Nico Rosberg fifth, Robert Kubica sixth, Lewis Hamilton seventh, Michael Schumacher eighth, Pedro de la Rosa ninth and Rubens Barrichello tenth.

The third and final free practice session of the British grand Prix weekend got off to another fine start with track temperatures registering twenty six degrees as drivers exited pitlane to begin an hour’s worth of on track time. Installation laps completed and fifteen minutes in Jarno Trulli sets the opening time of the day. Timo Glock is also out but the virgin is having throttle issues and he tours slowly back to the garage.

Button joins the action and soon other top runners are out to get some track time and start clocking up laps before qualifying. Not as many dramas this morning with most drivers getting lap times down without any issues at Abbey or Village.

That said, Adrian Sutil then has a moment at Copse in the wind while Felipe Massa runs wide at the same spot.

Thirty minutes in and Alonso stamps his authority, the Ferrari driver setting a time over half a second quicker than the best set by Robert Kubica. The Spaniard then improves his time but Vettel is on a charge and moves into second place, the Red Bull over three tenths off the leading pace. Massa then moves up the grid to slot into third place.

The final fifteen minutes and Vettel is on a charge, the Red Bull taking top spot from Alonso by just over a tenth. Jarno Trulli has more hydraulic issues today and the Lotus team boss is clearly frustrated by the situation.

The final laps for the morning get underway, but not for Adrian Sutil, the Force India driver sidelined early with suspected gearbox issues. Webber moves into P2 behind his teammate with Hamilton now fifth as the session winds down. Vettel attempts to better his best time as Alonso aborts his run as Rosberg moves up to take fifth from Hamilton. Vettel’s final lap ends in disaster as he loses his front wing at Abbey....
