Button can clinch crown in Japan

With three races remaining in the 2009 Formula One championship season, Brawn GP driver and current point’s leader Jenson Button can sew up his maiden crown in the pinnacle of Motor Sports this coming weekend at the Suzuka circuit if he secures five more points than teammate and main rival, Rubens Barrichello.

While these two men are not the only ones in the hunt for the crown, third placed man Sebastian Vettel is a further ten points behind Barrichello so will need to secure at least six more points than Button this Sunday just to stay in with a chance and even then it will mean he would have to win the two final events while Button fails to score at all.

In all reality, the title is Button’s to lose but you can count on both Barrichello and Vettel doing their utmost in the final rounds to help him do just that, even if it is just to keep their title aspirations alive for just one more round, especially Barrichello who would love to go to his home GP in Brazil as a title contender.
