With pre season testing well and truly behind them it is now time for the teams to look ahead to the official start of the 2007 Formula One season and despite the fact that the Scuderia Ferrari team appeared to be very strong in the final test in Bahrain last week, Pedro de la Rosa is convinced that his McLaren team are ready to get out and win!

Speaking to the Spanish press, the Woking based squad’s third driver revealed that he was sure the MP4-22’s will be fighting for victory after strong reliability all winter, something that enabled them to carry out all their scheduled development work smoothly.

While their work wasn’t always trouble free, the Spaniard explained that most of their problems came from parts that were close to the end of their planned cycle anyway, and in reality, that was all part of the process, determining how much they could withstand before reaching breaking point.
