Ferrari decision set for Wednesday

After two dismal races where he has started and finished in last place, it appears as if Luca Badoer’s time as fill in for the injured Felipe Massa at Ferrari is limited with team boss Stefano Domenicali revealing on Sunday that they will make a decision on the situation this coming Wednesday.

"With regard with what we are going to do for the next races we will tell you in the next three days," Domenicali said. "We are going to take all into consideration, it depends how the medical check-up that Felipe will do tomorrow goes and then we will put on the table all the different things and then we will make a decision."

The two Ferrari’s couldn’t have been further apart in Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix with Kimi Raikkonen crossing the lien to take the Maranello based squad’s first win of the year and Badoer finishing fourteenth and last.

The talk on Italian television network, RAI, suggests that it is already a done deal that Sunday’s second place finisher, Force India’s Italian driver, Giancarlo Fisichella, will move to Maranello, at least for the next round, being replaced at Force India by the team’s test driver, Tonio Luizzi.

Other drivers who could be in line for the role include Sebastien Bourdais, who is managed by Nicolas Todt, or Nelson Piquet junior, as they too have recent F1 experience.
