Ferrari determined to fight for third

At the end of the Brazilian Grand Prix Stefano Domenicali couldn’t be happy about a race, where the outcome could have been radically different, thanks to an exceptional performance by Kimi Raikkonen. While they had the possibility for an even better result, the Finn’s race after a series of incidents on the opening lap, including a coming together with eventual race winner, Mark Webber and then later on when he was sprayed by fuel from the McLaren of Heikki Kovalainen in pitlane.

“I think that Kimi was hindered in an extremely aggressive way by the Red Bull with Mark Webber and what happened at the box was another episode of incredible incidents we’ve seen over the season,” he said.

Kimi’s points haul for finishing sixth sees the Scuderia fall to one point behind their rivals at McLaren as Lewis Hamilton crossed the line in P3. With just one race remaining the Maranello based squad will need to ensure they put in a strong performance at the season finale in just over a week’s time....

”The fact that we’re now one point behind McLaren stimulates us to improve at the next race, because the third place in the Constructors’ Championship has a very important significance, before we move on from this difficult season.”
