After just one season in Formula One, a season behind the wheel of Eddie Jordan's EJ13, Ralph Firman could make a return to the grid in 2005 as a test driver for his former team.
Despite the fact that he was involved in the World Series by Nissan last season after failing to retain his seat at the Silverstone based F1 squad, Ralph never gave up on his dream of returning to the pinnacle of Motorsports one day, and according to sources close to GP2005.com, his just may see his dream become a reality this year.
Due to the fact that the new Jordan EJ15 will be launched late and the fact that while Eddie Jordan is partial to his former driver, Midland F1 have their eye on several other applicants, Ralph could very well be signed on as a test and development driver, the fact that he knows the team so well a definite plus for the British driver as the team undergo their transition.
Now all Eddie Jordan needs to do is convince the new boss that the team needs Ralph's services...and that may be easier said than done.
