Fisi, Ralf, Trulli and Glock

After Alexander Wurz retired, it looks like his former Italian teammate may be doing the same as current Renault racer Giancarlo Fisichella has been hoping that Williams might take him on board, but a good performance from Kazuki Nakajima in his debut now makes him think otherwise.

According to our spies in Brazil, Ralf Schumacher actually told his colleagues in the GPDA meeting that he will continue as President in 08 as he will be racing, but the question is where? He has spoken to Spyker once again, but the answer you hear from most of the senior team members is: No. It must be remembered however, that this doesn’t mean this is the answer absolute.

McLaren is more a dream than a reality for Ralf, while Toyota have already said their goodbyes. However, on that note, during the Brazilian weekend the situation didn’t look to certain. After three bad races from Trulli, management is in doubt about whether they should carry on with the Italian driver or not. Trulli has criticized the car, something the Japanese do not like, and he also gave public advice to Alonso not to go to Toyota. You do not make friends by doing things like that! However, he may have saved his position with a strong race in Brazil.

In regard to Timo Glock a problem with driving for them in 08 has arisen, but, it may have already been sorted. It seems as if Toyota wanted to sign him for two years, but BMW only wanted to release him for one season as they want to have an alternative for 2009 in case Kubica does not raise his game. BMW has an option on the Polish driver in 09, so they could, theoretically, change their driver line-up then if they need to.
