Five die on the way to Belgium
It may have been a fantastic weekend of racing at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit last weekend with Kimi Raikkonen securing his second career victory, his first of the season, and Michael Schumacher wrapping up his seventh world crown, but sadly, for five fans, it was an anticipated weekend that sadly never came to fruition.

According to reports in the Sun, five British Formula One fans were tragically killed on their way to the Spa circuit in two separate car accidents. Three men from Newton, Mid Wales, thirty four year old Dean Andrews and his two 28 year old friends, Jonathan Chandler and Shaun Williams, died after their car was struck from behind near Rotterdam in Holland.

Meanwhile tragedy struck again at Ypres, in Belgium when 51 year old Dai Evans and his fellow F1 fan Geoff Edwards, 53, also from Mid Wales (Rhayader) were killed when the mini bus they were travelling in was crushed by a 20 tonne lorry.
Our deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of all five men.
