FOTA united once more

According to reports in Autosport, the Formula One teams association, FOTA, has approved a further two new teams into their fold, that being Manor and Lotus, who will now join the other new entrants, USF1 and Campos Meta, meaning that all teams are now a part of the organization, that will lose one of its head men, Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo, at the end of the year.

Montezemolo’s role of Chairman of the organization will be filled after a vote of their chief executive committee in December while the second member to leave the fold is that of Toyota’s John Howett, who held the vice chairman position, however due to the Japanese company’s departure from Formula One, Howett will no longer take part.

At the moment all fourteen teams are an official part of FOTA, including Williams and Force India, who left the organization earlier in the year, and Toyota, as they are still enrolled in the championship, despite their withdrawal from the pinnacle of Motorsport at the end of the 2009 season.
