Former Red Bull Racing driver David Coulthard, who will join the BBC for this year’s Formula One coverage, has predicted that McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton, who became the sports youngest champion when he took his maiden crown by one point in 2008, will follow through and take back to back titles in 09.
According to the Scot, the young Brit will be a lot more relaxed this year after proving that he has what it takes to be up there with the greatest drivers in the sport and therefore we will see a little added performance that will put him over the edge once again.
“If he hadn’t done it in year two, there may have been an element of desperation in year three,” Coulthard was quoted as saying in the Post. “I think he will be a more relaxed, rounded guy with less to prove. It gives him an opportunity to unleash that last bit of his performance.” |
