It’s embarrassing says Webber

Red Bull Racing star Mark Webber has joined Ferrari in lashing out at some the new teams joining Formula One this season.

The Aussie racer mainly directing his comments toward the USF1 team, that is on the verge of oblivion, Campos Meta, who is reportedly about to change their name just ten days before the season opener and has yet to display their car or announce their complete driver line up, let alone do any testing at all, and another that is desperately wanting on the grid but has no entry.

According to Webber, the current situation makes the pinnacle of motorsports’ look more like a ‘mickey mouse outfit’....

"It's embarrassing," Webber was quoted as saying by the Australian press. "It's incredible that people who haven't yet turned a wheel take part in grands prix. It's the sort of stuff from Mickey Mouse or Tom and Jerry. It would make more sense to field Valentino Rossi with his bike on the grid."

One thing Webber is sure of however is that Rossi would provide more entertainment for the fans than the circus they are set to witness in Bahrain....

"He is great, F1 needs a character like him," he added.
