Jenson needs to work hard says Fry

Lewis Hamilton finished third on the rostrum at the season opening Bahrain Grand Prix last weekend however his 2009 championship winning teammate, Jenson Button finished in seventh, twenty two seconds behind his fellow McLaren racer.

"There's clearly a gap that Jenson is going to have to close. It's absolutely self-evident," Nick Fry, Button’s boss from 2009 as well as the years prior at Honda, said. "I'm sure he'll now be looking at what he can do to close the gap to Lewis, who does have home-team advantage at the moment.”

However, Fry believes that the longer Jenson stays with the team, the more Lewis’s home team advantage will diminish but until then he really needs to pull that little bit extra out of the bag after analysing just what he needs to do to get the upper hand.

“He'll have to be looking at all aspects of his own performance, not only how he drives, but also the way he works with the team. Jenson will know all those things, and he's got to work hard."
