Renault finished the final day of testing at the Jerez circuit on top of the leaderboard this afternoon when test driver Franck Montagny finished two tenths of a second ahead of BAR test driver Anthony Davidson after completing a massive 150 laps of the Spanish track.
Third up today was Panasonic Toyota driver Jarno Trulli, the Italian suffering an engine failure in the new TF105B early in the session and only managing 91 laps. Trulli, who will contest the Japanese GP in the new version of the car, was followed home by the teams official test driver Ricardo Zonta, who was once again at the wheel of the V8 powered hybrid car for part of the day but set his fourth best time in the regular contender.
