With Karun Chandhok being confirmed as the second driver at the new HRT Formula One team where he will contest the 2010 championship season alongside Bruno Senna, fellow Indian racer, Narain Karthikeyan, who became the first driver form their country to raced in the pinnacle of Motorsport when he competed for Jordan, wished his young compatriot the best of luck....

"I am very happy for him to have got a seat in Formula 1 and becoming the second driver from our country to do so. I wish him the best," Karthikeyan said in the Hindustan Times.

Instead of being upset that he has been overlooked for the role,. Despite having experience, Narain was overcome with joy that Karun had finally made it into the series....

"Honestly, I don't know what to say. I am absolutely overwhelmed and have tears in my eyes. It has been a tough journey, but very satisfying one for sure. Karun has worked really hard to live his dream."
