BMW Sauber test driver Christian Klien feels completely at home behind the wheel of their 2009 contender, the F1-09 after putting the car through its paces at the Sakhir International Circuit in Bahrain recently.
“I don’t feel fear at the wheel of the F1.09, otherwise I couldn’t do this job,” he said on the team’s official website.
However, just because he feels comfortable tearing up the tarmac at speeds the average driver would never even contemplate, doesn’t mean that he has complete nerves of steel, in fact the thought of going on a roller coaster ride is something he won’t even consider…
“Sometimes I have an uneasy feeling if there’s something I find I am not in control of. As a child I was really afraid of rollercoaster’s, you still won’t get me on one today. Being a helpless passenger on something like that, no thanks!”
