After returning to the cockpit of his Ferrari at Valencia on Sunday and attending the gala evening presentation afterward, Felipe Massa immediately returned to Brazil in order to take part in a practice session for the impending Granja Viana 500 kart event that will take part on the fourth and fifth of next month.

Even though there is still an ample amount of time before the race, Massa, along with teammate Lucas di Grassi took the opportunity to take part in the open practice session so that he could make various set up changes to his kart.

"There is no rush,” he told the local press. “We still have quite a bit of time before the race starts. The track is in bad shape. For this reason, I wanted to get here early and get a good feel of the kart and of the track."

At this stage only fellow Brazilians, Pop Bueno and Lucas Di Grassi have been confirmed to share the racing in the Ferrari ace’s team.
