After spending most of the time in a drug induced coma after undergoing brain surgery on Saturday due to a freak accident during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, doctors have revealed that Ferrari driver Felipe Massa is slowly on the mend.
Speaking to local television on Monday morning, spokesman for the Hungarian defence ministry Istvan Bocskai explained that Massa was moving his hands and legs after being woken from sedation and they were encouraged by the driver’s progress.
“He's woken up more and more often now and he's able to communicate actively, that is he reacts when he's talked to. We are optimistic anhd it is our hope that a slow recovery is beginning." |
