The Swiss based Sauber Petronas squad continued its three-day at the Circuit de Catalunya today where regular driver Felipe Massa covered a total of 68 laps in chassis C23-02 to set the day’s best time of 1:14.655. Running on Michelin tyres for just his second outing, the young Brazilian was surprised at how quick they got up to speed.
"I was surprised how quick we were able to adjust the car to the new tyres,” he said. “We only made rather small changes and the balance of the car as well as the performance were good straightaway. We now have a solid basis on which we can build."
Tomorrow Jacques Villeneuve will take over for his first test with his new team.
