The six McLaren Autosport BRDC Award nominees have been named, and as part of their prize they will win a drive in a Team McLaren Mercedes Formula One car.

The nominees are Oliver Jarvis, the Formula Renault UK champion, James Jakes,a Formula Renault UK frontrunner, Sam Bird, Formula BMW championship runner-up, Duncan Tappy, Formula Ford Festival winner and championship runner-up, Joe Tandy, Formula Palmer Audi Champion and Joey Foster, US Formula Ford championship runner-up.

The finalists were selectefd from a shortlist, voted for by readers of Autosport magazine and a panel of judges. They will now all be evaluated over two days at the UK's Snetterton circuit where they will be tested in four different racing cars. As well as their test in a Team McLaren Mercedes Formula One car, the winner will receive a cheque for £50,000.

The announcement will be made on December 4.
