According to reports in Autosport, the exhaust-blown diffuser introduced here for first practice here at the Silverstone circuit on Friday, has been shelved for the time being.
It appears as if the Woking based squad were not happy with the results of testing their new updated package in the two ninety minute free practice sessions that left their drivers eighth and 13th overall as both men were unable to find a comfortable set up.
Therefore the team believes their best chance of having a competitive home grand prix is to revert back to the car that has allowed them to hit the lead in both the drivers and teams championships. More work will be done to the new updates to ensure the best performance at the next round in Germany. |
