Mechanical failure for Montoya on day two with McLaren
Team McLaren Mercedes completed day two of a four day test on Thursday afternoon at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona where test driver Alex Wurz and Juan Pablo Montoya were both present at the Spanish circuit behind the wheel of this year's MP4-19B.
The drivers finished eighth and ninth fastest respectively, with Alex completing 104 laps with a best time of 1m15.874s.
A minor mechanical failure on the front left hand side of Juan Pablo's car an hour and a half before the end of testing disrupted his session, and as a result the team decided to finish the day's test program. Juan Pablo had completed 54 laps of the circuit at the time.
Juan Pablo will continue his testing program today and will be joined by Pedro de la Rosa.
