Mixed fortunes for B.A.R duo on day two
Thursday was another cold but sunny morning in Barcelona, although the temperature gradually rose with the track temperature reaching 21 degrees by midday but for Jenson Button, it was a frustrating morning behind the wheel of the '05 Concept car.

It was the Englishman’s first time in the car after Enrique Bernoldi had debuted the team’s latest hybrid machine on Wednesday but due to engine problems, Jenson completed just five laps. By contrast Enrique had a productive morning driving chassis 006-06. He completed a total of 84 laps running through a compound programme for Michelin, alongside an engine evaluation for Honda.

Jenson, however, had a more productive session in the afternoon, completing a further 39 laps to take his lap tally for the day to 44. With the engine changed, he ran through a short Michelin tyre evaluation alongside chassis set-up work. Jenson will continue driving the new Concept car tomorrow.

Enrique spent the afternoon continuing the tyre evaluation which he began in the morning. He completed an impressive 115 laps today, covering some 537 kms. Takuma Sato will join the test today, taking over from Enrique in chassis 006-06.
