The Swiss based Sauber Petronas squad finished sixth in this year’s championship and while it isn’t the highest finish in their Formula One history, it was their most successful season from various other aspects, including reliability and consistency. But, what about 2005?
Peter Sauber will have two strong drivers at his disposal with Felipe Massa and 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve, who not only knows how to win races, but also world titles. However, to achieve this goal both men will need a strong contender beneath them, and the team are confident that the new C24 will definitely deliver!
”We're exactly on schedule with the C24,” team boss Peter Sauber explained. “The development of the new gear box has already progressed very far. In addition, we're performing intensive wind tunnel work to compensate for the new aerodynamic restrictions as much as possible. This much I can tell you already: what I've seen so far makes me feel confident indeed!”
