One more test for Honda

With just eleven days before the first official practice session of the 2006 Formula One season gets underway at the Sahkir Circuit in Bahrain, several teams are opting to undergo one final test to ensure that their 2006 contenders are as ready as they can be when the lights finally turn green after so many long months of winter testing.

For Honda, their final program will be completed by third driver Anthony Davidson in Valencia this week. After last week's test program, that was completed successfully in Barcelona where all three drivers on duty were able to cover significant mileage on the RA106 engine, this final test is mainly shakedown to ensure everything is going to plan as well as a little more work on the latest specification RA806E engine that was put to the test last week.

"We were very pleased to run the upgraded engine for the equivalent of two race distances and are now very close to finalising the engine spec for the first race," confirmed Shuhei Nakamoto, Engineering Director, Honda Racing Development.
