Only ten teams for season opener?

With Super Aguri pulling out yet another testing session, this time the final pre-season test that is taking place in Barcelona this week, doubts on the Japanese based squad lining up on the Albert Park grid in a few weeks time are mounting higher and higher.

It was reported here last week that team boss Aguri Suzuki had flown to Tokyo to attend crisis talks with engine supplier Honda as well sponsor possibilities in an attempt to secure their immediate future.

However, as a result of this, the final opportunity to make sure everything is ready for the season opener, will be missed with the hope that they will make it to Melbourne.

“As talks continue with Super Aguri F1, we have decided we will focus our attention on preparing for the first race in Australia as the freight leaves shortly,” Suzuki said. “We have therefore decided not to test in Barcelona this week."
