Australian racer Michael Patrizi, has signed a deal that will see him contest his debut season in the Formula Three Euro championship behind the wheel of a Dallara Mercedes.
The former Australian Formula Ford racer will contest the 2007 season alongside Dutch racer Renger van de Zande with the Prema Powerteam, and he is thrilled with this latest development in his young racing career.
“I’m truly delighted to have the chance of racing for a team that have already succeeded in winning the Formula 3 Euro Series title once,” he said.
Fellow Aussie and former Toyota test driver and ChampCar racer Ryan Briscoe, also raced for the team back in the 2003 season, when he took championship honours.
“With Michael Patrizi we’ve signed a driver who already succeeded in proving his skills in the lower categories,” said Team Principal Angelo Rosin. |
