Rumours are currently circulating that newly announced Renault racer Vitaly Petrov’s future at the French based squad may be very short lived with reports that the Russian driver’s payment to the team for his year of racing has been delayed.
According to reports in the Russian press, the young drivers father, Alexander, was to secure a loan in order to pay part of the 13 million pound fee to secure the driver by putting his property up as collateral, however he is yet to receive the money from the bank.
It appears as if the team will give them until the first of next month to pay the money involved and if they can’t then Vitaly will be replaced by another racer. |
