Both BMW SauberF1 drivers, Robert Kubica and used the morning session of the final day of this week’s test at the Bahrain International circuit to do some aero work, comparing different front wings, and also carrying out some set-up tests.
Robert also conducted a comparison to evaluate different tyre compounds. In the afternoon session plans for longer runs were once again cut off by red flags and an unplanned engine change on Nick’s car also cost time.
Robert’s program for the second half of the day was testing different damper settings and again new aero parts which both brought positive results.
The BMW Sauber F1 Team will now stay in Bahrain for another three days of testing next week. Robert will be driving on all three days – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On the first day he will be joined by Sebastian Vettel and for the remaining days by Nick Heidfeld.
