Late last year the FIA confirmed that former Formula One drivers would make up part of the steward panel at Grand Prix events with the aim of making decisions regarding current drivers fairer than the old system that has had multiple complaints.

For the opening round of the 2010 season to be held at the Bahrain International circuit this coming weekend, it has been announced that four time world champion, Alain Prost will join the official stewards as the driver representative.
