His 2009 Formula One season may not be as hot as he would like but Ferrari racer Kimi Raikkonen is making up for it in other areas of the sporting world with yet another appearance in the World Rally Championship next month.

Although this will be his first race in the official championship, Kimi whet his appetite in other non championship rounds. This time he will be racing in his native Finland behind the wheel of a Fiat Abarth Grande Punto, three weeks before the Formula One European Grand Prix.  

"It is superb news for the Championship and hugely exciting that he'll be competing at Rally Finland," Simon Lang, event spokesperson said.
