Ralf Schumacher will head to Japan in the coming days where he will contest the penultimate round of the 2005 season for the Panasonic Toyota racing team. This will be the 18^th time he has climbed behind the wheel of the Toyota powered contender.

However, next weekend’s event will be special as it is the team’s home race and he is hoping to celebrate the occasion with a podium finish…..

Yes, because it looks as if we go pretty well on high-speed tracks and it would be great to have a strong performance and hopefully even a podium for Toyota at Suzuka.

How do you assess this year?
It has been very good so far and a lot better than we all expected.

How are you finding working with the Toyota team?
Really good. It's a very enjoyable team to work in, with better feelings than I have ever had in the past. Toyota has a different way of working with drivers than Williams had. Both teams work well in their own way, but I personally prefer it at Toyota.

Latest reports now indicate that next weekend’s race could see Ralf behind the wheel of the new TF105B, a car that appears to be more suited to the younger Schumacher than his teammate Jarno Trulli.
