With the devastating news that Ford would no longer be participating in the Formula One series due to the ever increasing costs, new rumours suggest that Renault may just follow their lead and leave the sport if a solution to the price war isn’t found soon.
While Ford have opted to pull the plug on the Jaguar Racing outfit at the end of the current season, rumours in the Motorsport world over the past few weeks indicate that Renault will give it another season and if costs don’t decrease they could walk away just twelve months after Ford.
If this happens it would be absolutely devastating to the series so here’s hoping that the powers that be finally get their act together and make the much needed changes that will encourage not only the current teams to stay in the series but lure new ones to the door.
