Stefan looking for approval within the week

With reports of gloom and doom continuing to surround the USF1 team and no real positive press to claim otherwise, it really looks as if the Charlotte based squad will not be on the grid this season, leaving the door open for Stefan GP to come in and pick up the open grid slot for the 2010 Formula One world championship.

After being forced to cancel their planned test in Portugal this week, team boss Zoran Stefanovic spoke with Reuters and explained that he is still very hopeful that things will fall his way and that his team will be there on the Bahrain grid.

All he needs now is official confirmation from the FIA and he is hoping that will come within the week...

"Definitely, we are waiting for something to happen because the time is very short and the deadline for Bahrain is approaching. If you are going to Bahrain you have to be packed by next Wednesday and we think we will be able to reach something by then."
