Today was the first day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working at two circuits, Valencia and Mugello.
On the Tuscan track, official test driver Marc Gene was in action at the wheel of an F2004 M fitted with the V8 engine. Under very cold and wet conditions, the Spanish test driver covered a total of 39 laps, five of them on the short version of the track, the quickest being a 1’32”672.
Meanwhile, under clear skies in Valencia, new 2006 driver Felipe Massa returned to work for the first of a three day testing session that will be focussing on Bridgestone tyre development. The Brazilian racer covered a total of 95 laps, the quickest being 1’13”165.
Testing continues at both circuits tomorrow: in Valencia with Felipe Massa and at Mugello with Marc Gene. |
