Things are different at McLaren says Hamilton
McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has told the media that if he was told over the radio during a grand prix that his teammate was faster than he was, it would be accompanied by an order to push harder, not pull over and let him through.

The 2008 champion was talking about the message that was delivered to Ferrari driver Felipe Massa that saw him moving over to allow teammate Fernando Alonso into the lead so that he could take victory ahead of the Brazilian, a team order that the Maranello based squad have not denied giving.

“If my engineer came across the radio, the message would be, ‘Jenson’s faster, you’ve got to find time in the first and second sector’. Simple as that, which means pick up the pace. It’s a lot different,” he said.

Meanwhile, the distaste for Ferrari’s actions has travelled far and wide with one of the drivers in the Australian V8 championship, Russel Ingall, stating that if he was told to move over he would have simply unplugged his radio and flipped the team the bird on his way past the pits.
