Three more races for Montoya

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) has announced that Juan Pablo Montoya is scheduled to compete in the final three races of the 2006 Busch Series season, including Texas Motor Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway in the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline.

Montoya actually made his NASCAR debut this past Saturday in the Busch Series race at Memphis Motorsports Park where he finished in 11th after qualifying in ninth and this upcoming weekend’s Busch event at Texas Motor Speedway will be the fourth stock car competition for the Colombian native since he joined the CGRFS organization in late September.

Montoya’s first stock car race was in the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Talladega Superspeedway on October 6, where he grabbed the outside pole on his way to finishing third.  He then ran in the ARCA Series finale on October 15 at Iowa Speedway where he started third and finished 24th.  Montoya led 12 laps before making contact with another competitor that sent him behind the wall for repairs.
