Toyota can win says Ralf
Ralf Schumacher has defended his choice to move from the BMW WilliamsF1 team to Panasonic Toyota Racing next season stating that the Cologne based squad are definitely potential world champions and as such he is the one that want’s to be there when the victory champagne starts flowing. However, he isn’t fooling himself into believing that the world championship crown will be his for the taking in his first season with the team…. "It will take some time no doubt, but on the other hand tell me a team you can go to and win a World title apart from Ferrari. The possibilities are good, they have good people and a good budget and there is clearly something to come. It will be a great project together," he told the BBC. "It is nothing to do with trying to copy something it's just that after six years I want to try something new. They are a very young team and it is very interesting to be able to join and be involved a lot more and have a better chance of success." There is still no news on whether Ralf will be returning to the Williams cockpit this season after his shunt in the American Grand Prix last month, however he will undergo a shakedown at the Silverstone circuit prior to the Hungarian GP in two weeks time to evaluate his current fitness levels.
