According to reports coming out of Japan, Toyota is considering putting a stop to hosting the alternating round of the Japanese Grand prix at their Mount Fuji circuit.

Mount Fuji has held the race for the past two years running, the most memorable being the 2007 event that saw horrendous weather conditions and cars aquaplaning off the circuit in droves.

While this year’s round of the Japanese Grand Prix is due to be held at the Suzuka circuit, owned by their rivals at Honda, the 2010 event at Fuji is under threat in a bid for Toyota to cut costs.
