Villeneuve to return in 2010

Reports in the German press over the Singapore GP weekend indicate that 1997 Formula One world champion, Jacques Villeneuve will make his F1 return next season, more than likely with the USF1 team. While the French/Canadian wouldn’t be specific, he did admit that he will definitely be on the grid next season.

"Yes, it’s true, I will return to Formula One," he was quoted as saying by Bild.

With four new teams expected in 2010, Villeneuve could easily be on the verge of a deal for any of the eighth available seats, however, it is widely thought that the expected announcement, due in the coming weeks, will see the thirty eight year old firmly planted with Peter Windsor’s new team.   

That said however, the one thing the former driver didn’t really confirm was that he would actually be behind the wheel...
