Following on from our article about Honda Racing’s predicament yesterday, a team spokeswoman has told Reuters that fans and the media should not be focussing too much of their time on time frames and deadlines when it comes to the sale of the Brackley based squad and that they remain optimistic that everything will turn out well.
"Work on our race car is progressing well. We're optimistic but it may not be possible to comment further for some time," she said.
As we mentioned yesterday, it is only eight weeks until the official race start of the season when teams will line up on the Albert Park grid in Melbourne Australia and it will take an estimated six weeks to adapt their new car to a new engine now that Honda will not be supplying the all important power unit.
So even if the team claim they are not worried about time frames and deadlines, it is definitely obvious that they should be…..
