We will be back stronger and quicker says Rosberg

It may not have been the rookie season that Nico Rosberg had hoped for with just four points to his credit and failing to finish half of the 18 races he started, however the young German racer is confident that things are on the up and up, starting with next season.

For 2007 his WilliamsF1 team will be switching to Toyota V8 engines instead of the Cosworth power that was in the FW28 this year and together with a reworked technical department, as we explained earlier, the belief is that the team will arrive on the Albert Park grid in March next year with a lot stronger package than we have seen over the course of the last eight months.

Added to this, Nico has learnt a lot through the year’s trials and tribulations and knows he is a much better driver, both on and off the track, than the one that took to the Bahrain grid for the 2006 season opener.

“As far as my season goes there have of course been frustrations but I feel that I am a better driver now than at the start of the year and am better equipped for dealing with the F1 circus,” he said in his column for Castrol. “I have a couple of weeks off now but will be back in the car in December for my first test with Toyota engines. We've signed some key technical guys for next year and I'm sure that if we all put the work in over the winter, the WilliamsF1 team will be back stronger and quicker.”
