Jaguar Racing’s Mark Webber may have been disappointed at finishing the inaugural Chinese Grand Prix down in tenth place, however the Australian racer hasn’t given up on giving the Milton Keynes based squad a brilliant send off with his sights now set firmly on achieving two points scoring finishes in the final events of the team’s life as we know it.
With only Suzuka and Brazil to contest before Ford pulls the plug on the team’s future, mark remains very upbeat about the potential of their 2004 contender, the R5. And, with just one point separating them from Toyota, Webber is adamant to ensure that the gap increases so that their rivals from Cologne don’t slip through.
”The R5 is a really good package at the moment and I would love to be scoring some points in it,” he said on the team’s official website. “We have two races to go so I will be doing everything I can to fight for some top eight finishes.”
