Red Bull Racing’s Mark Webber will go from finishing second in the Formula One contender at the recent Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to testing a GP3 car in the matter of two and half weeks when he climbs aboard on his new team’s cars at the Paul Ricard circuit on the seventeenth of this month.
“I'm entering a team MW Arden in this new championship next season and I'm intrigued to see what the cars are like to drive, while I also see this as an opportunity to get the series a bit of publicity,” he explained in the Daily Telegraph.
After he has had this new experience, Mark will return to the UK where he will meet with specialists concerning his right leg that was injured in a biking challenge in Tasmania almost a year ago. “If they think it's healed, I'll have the titanium rod taken out at the end of the month. If that happens, I'll need several weeks of 7 rest so I'll head home to Australia to be with family and friends over Christmas and New Year.” |
